Legend Of The Year
The Legend of the Year award is the highest honor at our studio, celebrating the heart and hustle of our most dedicated performers. Each year, we recognize one exceptional student who goes above and beyond, demonstrating elite character, a relentless work ethic, and a passion that inspires everyone in the "village."
The recipient of this prestigious award receives a Full Tuition Scholarship, a crown, and a trophy, marking their place in our studio’s history.
The Prize: The Full Tuition Scholarship
The Legend of the Year enjoys an experience with all tuition fees completely waivedfor the remainder of the calendar year. This allows the winner to enroll in as many dance classes as they wish, fueling their growth without limits.
Eligibility & Selection
Age: Must be between 7 and 18 years old.
Enrollment: Must be a currently enrolled dance student at Kreative Legends.
The Criteria: Winners are chosen based on their character, dedication, and positive attitude.
The Process: Candidates are nominated and voted on by our professional faculty of instructors.

BABY LEGEND OF THE YEAR
The "Baby Legend of the Year" Award
At Kreative Legends, we are deeply committed to the growth and development of our young artists. Each year, we host a special event to celebrate the progress of all our students and to honor those who have gone above and beyond.
The Baby Legend of the Year is the highest honor for our rising stars. This award recognizes a student who exemplifies outstanding character, a relentless work ethic, and a contagious, positive attitude.
The Prize: The Half-Tuition Scholarship
The recipient of this award is crowned with more than just a trophy—they receive a Half-Tuition Scholarship to fuel their artistic journey.
The Reward: A crown, a commemorative trophy, and a 50% discount on all tuition.
The Benefit: The winner can enroll in as many classes as they wish, with the scholarship covering half the cost for the entire calendar year.

BABY LEGEND OF THE YEAR 2025!
Debra Blakeney-Brown’s Sunshine Award
In memory of my aunt who passed in December 2021.Her name was Debra Blakeney-Brown. She attended Kreative Legends Fall 2020 recital, sitting in the front row, and was in awe of all the students. She loved everything about the show and after telling her a little about Kreative Legends and the wonderful owner, she loved it even more. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer that began to affect her in 2021. One thing that did worry/upset her was that she was unable to attend the next upcoming Spring Recital. Due to her love for the Kreative Legends, Haley and all people in general, I wanted to do something in her honor.
My aunt Debbie always brought brightness and smiles to everyone she came in contact with. I would like to create a “Sunshine Award” in memory of her. This would go to the student who always brings sunshine to everyone around him/her and always willing to help his/her peers.

April Burch Support Our Kids Award
In memory of my best friend who passed away. Her name was April Burch. She was the Aunt to every child and they loved to be around her. She was supportive to so many people and loved to give back in every way she could. She would bring my daughter to practice and would sit through her private lessons. She also enjoyed attending Kreative Legends recitals and events. Her passing was unexpected but I wanted to continue her Legacy!
This award will be awarded to 2 students who both will receive $1000 each to be used at Kreative Legends as financial assistance for tuition. The students who receive this scholarship must be a member of Kreative Legends Dance Company (our competition team) and have the passion to continue to pursue the art of dance.

Ballet Scholarship
As a young girl, my mother fell in love with the grace of ballet. As an adult, that admiration never faded. I still remember her practicing at home, lifting me over her head and whispering that I was her "Little Butterfly."
Her life was soundtracked by the notes of Ave Maria and the stories of Madame Butterfly. Nothing made her heart fuller than watching her great-granddaughter follow in those same footsteps, training in the very art form she held so dear.
Honoring the Passion
To keep her spirit alive, we established this scholarship/contribution to support the children of Kreative Legends. It is our way of ensuring that her love for classical music and the elegance of ballet continues to inspire the next generation of dancers.
Congratulations to our Recipient: Aria Bustion
We are proud to announce that Aria Bustion has been awarded this special scholarship for the current year. This award will cover Aria’s full tuition for the remainder of the season, allowing her to focus entirely on her growth, her craft, and her own journey as a "Legend."
Just as my mother soared in her living room, we are honored to help Aria soar on the stage.

At the recent KLDC Cowboy Showdown, we witnessed more than just incredible talent—we witnessed the power of community. We are thrilled to highlight the incredible generosity of Safe & Sweet Home Care, whose commitment to our youth is helping dreams take flight.
A Milestone Achievement: 33 Scholarships Awarded
While the "Just Wanna Dance" scholarship originally aimed to support 30 dancers, the overwhelming passion of our students led to an expansion. We are proud to announce that 33 students were awarded a $400 scholarship during the Cowboy Showdown!
These funds were applied directly to student accounts, helping families offset dance expenses and ensuring our "Legends" can stay focused on their craft.
About the Safe & Sweet Partnership
The Safe & Sweet “Just Wanna Dance” Scholarship is rooted in one thing: Pure Passion.
No Barriers: This scholarship isn't based on years of experience or technical rank. Whether a student is a "Baby Legend," a beginner, or advanced, their love for dance is the only requirement.
Supporting the Village: Designed specifically for the parents and caretakers of Kreative Legends, this initiative aims to alleviate the financial commitment of high-quality performing arts training.
Accessibility: By partnering with local leaders like Safe & Sweet Home Care, we continue to break down historical barriers to the arts.

I had a childhood friend named Doris Brown who went to dance school. Doris Brown mom couldn’t afford ballet classes either, but her Aunt could and she paid for all of Doris’s ballet classes.
All I ever wanted was an Aunt like Doris Brown so I could learn Ballet.
So I present to you “The Doris Brown Aunt Ballet Scholarship” presented to that little girl who wished she had an Aunt like Doris Brown so she can learn Ballet.
To apply for the scholarship you must be between the ages 8-17
